Granny House is a first-person horror adventure built around the familiar structure of Granny. You wake up inside an abandoned hospital with no marked safe route and no weapon. To escape, you must move through dark corridors, search rooms for useful items, solve environmental puzzles, and avoid Granny as she patrols the building. A dropped object, a hurried step, or an opened door can give away your position. Every movement matters, especially when you are near an exit and have nowhere left to hide.
Granny House turns the haunted hospital into a quiet escape puzzle where careful movement matters more than combat. As in the original Granny, you escape each hospital section by finding keys, unlocking doors, and completing the required objectives. You also need to learn the layout and keep track of the items you have found.
Granny listens for noise and changes her route when she hears something unusual. Running through a room may save a few seconds, but it can also trigger a chase before you’re ready. Close doors behind you when you can, avoid dropping objects in open areas, and know where you’ll hide before starting a puzzle. Patience helps, but even a careful plan can fail if you miss a key or take the wrong corridor.
The hospital has patient wards, reception areas, narrow hallways, storage rooms, and hidden escape routes. Its maze-like layout makes familiar rooms useful landmarks, though similar-looking paths can cause confusion during a chase. Check shelves, corners, desks, and side rooms instead of taking the first obvious route. A hidden passage may save time, while a locked door can suggest where to find an item needed later. The hospital is small, but its many turns make remembering your route important.
Four Escape Missions
The adventure has four missions, each set in a different part of the hospital with its own objective. Later areas are harder to navigate, so learning Granny’s patrol patterns becomes as important as finding the items you need.
- Level 1: Entrance: Leave the entrance area quietly. Use this section to learn how movement, interaction, and sound work. Search the nearby rooms carefully; an item in the first area may open a route deeper inside. Do not rush to the door before you know where Granny is.
- Level 2: Reception: Cross the reception hall while avoiding Granny. Desks, waiting areas, and connecting corridors can block her view, but they may also restrict your movement. Watch the open floor, listen for footsteps, and cross only when the path is clear.
- Level 3: Ward: Find the correct exit through the hospital ward while staying hidden. Patient rooms and side corridors offer several routes, though some lead nowhere. Search for keys and usable objects, keep track of the doors you have checked, and take a safer route back when the main corridor is dangerous.
- Level 4: Final Escape: Complete the last mission and leave the hospital without alerting Granny. The final section requires the same skills as the earlier levels: tracking items, moving quietly, planning your route, and choosing the right moment. Remember the exit requirements. Reaching the correct door may not be enough if you have not completed the final objective.
