Horror Granny is a first-person survival horror game about moving quietly, searching carefully, and reacting when things go wrong. You wake up in a decaying house with limited time, no marked safe route, and tools, keys, and clues hidden in drawers and overlooked rooms. An old woman listens for movement and responds to noise, so dropping an object or opening a door at the wrong moment can change the entire attempt. Randomized item locations and several escape routes keep each run different. Some are orderly; others unravel after one mistake.

Horror Granny Gameplay

In Horror Granny, you have five days to escape. Each time you’re caught, you lose a day and wake up later to continue with less time remaining. The house has locked rooms, hidden compartments, narrow passages, and tools that unlock new areas. Search carefully: useful items may be far from the entrance or next to something that makes noise.

Every action can make noise. Dropping an item may draw Granny to your location, and sprinting across a wooden floor can reveal a hiding place that felt safe moments ago. Check the hall before opening a door, or you may walk straight into her path. Plan each move, remember which rooms you have searched, and balance exploration with stealth as you collect what you need for an escape. If an item is useful but risky to pick up, leave it there and come back after Granny moves away.

Stay Hidden

Search the House

Move quietly through the house. Slower movement gives you more time to hear Granny and makes it harder for her to locate you. When she starts searching nearby, hide under a bed or inside a wardrobe. Wait too long, though, and getting inside may create a visible or audible clue.

Watch for bear traps around the house. One can stop you at the worst moment and leave you stuck while you escape. Pay attention to where Granny goes after hearing a noise so you can learn her patrol routes and choose safer times to enter each room.

Use distractions for a specific reason. A thrown object or sudden sound might draw Granny away from a doorway, but it could also send her toward an area you still need to search. Crouch before checking exposed spaces, especially near halls and stairways, where a lower profile and slower movement are easier to control.

Before picking up an item, decide where you will go if Granny appears. Know which room, bed, or corridor gives you the best chance of breaking line of sight.

Search drawers, cabinets, shelves, hidden rooms, and other ordinary storage areas for essential items. Check them more than once; hurried searches can miss useful objects. Keep keys, tools, and special items until you know which escape route they open.

Environmental puzzles can reveal new parts of the house. Look for locked panels, unusual switches, and blocked passages. Different escape routes require different item combinations. One may reward careful searching, while another takes you through areas where Granny is more likely to spot you.

Item locations change between attempts, so replay Horror Granny to test different routes and item orders. Remember where you found doors, traps, hiding places, and open stairways. When Granny is nearby, that mental map saves time.

Carry only what you need. A full inventory can slow your decisions, and dropping an item in the wrong room may create noise. Search each room’s edges, floors, and furniture instead of checking only the most obvious container.

  • Move with WASD or the arrow keys through rooms, corridors, stairs, and hiding spots.

  • Use the mouse to look around. Turn slowly while listening for Granny, and check corners before entering open areas.

  • Press E to inspect objects, pick up tools, open usable features, and interact with puzzle elements.

  • Press C to crouch and move more carefully near hiding spots or exposed routes.

  • Hold Shift to run. You will move faster, but the noise may reveal your position and attract Granny.

  • Press Spacebar to drop an item, create a distraction, or free your hands for another task.

  • Hold F to escape a bear trap. Release it only after the trap opens; stopping early leaves you exposed and wastes time.

  • Granny: Search the house for items, unlock blocked routes, and hide from a hostile pursuer who reacts to sound. It offers the basic stealth-escape formula in a straightforward form.

  • Granny Horror: Explore cautiously, avoid Granny, and solve puzzles as you look for a way out. Quiet movement can turn into a sudden chase.

  • Granny 2: A new setting and additional threats add more to manage. You need to learn the house’s layout while deciding whether each noisy action is worth the risk.
